The Senior Systems Engineer, End User Tech is a well-rounded engineer that works on new technology and enhancing old technology. This individual will design, implement, and support technology and processes related to the end user compute environment. This role focuses on managing and optimizing end-user computing environments, including, endpoint devices, collaboration tools, automation, and Infrastructure that directly impacts the employees’ daily functions.  

Key responsibilities for the role:

  • Serve as an SME for Infrastructure technologies, with deep knowledge of enterprise technologies, including networking concepts, system integrations, and Active Directory.
  • Work closely with security, enterprise architecture, and business leaders to develop, implement, and improve existing solutions.
  • Troubleshoot a large variety of technical issues.
  • Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise endpoint solutions, including Windows, Mac, and VDI.
  • Develop automation and scripting solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Infrastructure and support teams.
  • Engage with partners and vendors to assess new technologies.
     

Key skills/experience qualifications for the role:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Advanced degree – Associates, Bachelors, Masters, etc. – preferred.
  • 7+ years related experience required in end user compute workspace.
  • 2+ years in an engineer or architect role.
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with a variety of desktop operating systems, including Windows (Desktop and Server) and macOS
  • Experience with a wide range of enterprise desktop and application management.
  • Experienced in supporting standard enterprise applications.
  • Expertise in enterprise endpoint management tools.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with ITIL Practices, zero-trust security models, and enterprise networking.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups in a team.
  • Effective communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, independent problem-solving and decision-making, self-direction, and ability to manage a complex workload.
  • Demonstrable track record of success in managing relationships.
  • Demonstrable ability to maintain a team-oriented, professional, and cooperative attitude at all times.

The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000.00 to $170,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
